Hi, I’m Michael.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Having qualified with a post graduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2007.

Prior to training as a psychotherapist, I lived as a monk where I deeply studied India’s Vedic teachings from which come the wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Yoga & Ayurveda

Having practiced and taught yoga for over 30yrs I have shared my expertise in the field of yoga psychology by regularly facilitating online courses with London based Yogacampus.

Alongside Yoga, Ayurveda has been a passion of mine for a great many years. In my personal life I have benefited immensely from following Ayurvedic practices and receiving treatments for detoxification and rejuvenation. I am certified with a diploma in Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Nutrition and am enthusiastic about sharing the wisdom of Ayurveda in a way that is accessible.

A holistic approach

Drawing from years of psychotherapy practice, I recognised that many presenting issues are merely symptoms of deeper imbalance. Through a holistic blend of Ayurveda and Yoga psychology, I address root causes, not just symptoms. By balancing the body, we can positively transform the mind.

In my personal life I have overcome struggles with addiction rooted in childhood trauma. I have learned the hard way that true growth and transformation come from embracing the painful and difficult parts of our humanity and not from spiritual bypassing.  It is these struggles that have been my greatest teachers and what most informs my compassionate, empathic approach to working with others.
